Chung Pei Ming,
Chung Pei Ming started his career with the Federation in 2008, upon returning from his degree studies in Australia. Having previously campaigned for the 2008 Olympics alongside his studies, the multiple SEA Games gold medalist and Asian Games medalist was subsequently involved in a wide range of positions from mass participation initiatives under the SailSmart programme to coaching at the junior and youth levels. He subsequently headed the High Performance Department and continued to lead Singapore’s sailors to new milestones at major Games.
“Pei Ming has innate knowledge across the various functional areas of the Federation and National Sailing Centre’s operations. As a High Performance Manager, he has been instrumental in developing sound and robust programmes to develop Singapore’s sailors for the immediate to long term. His exposure as Singapore Sailing Team Manager at the 2012 Olympic Games, 2011 and 2013 SEA Games have also seen him grow his network and establish his leadership qualities. He is well placed to take on a wider role and contribute further to the development of sailing in Singapore.” Said Dr Ben Tan, President of SSF.
