Rohaizan Bin Mohamed Zain
Assistant General Manager
In 2014, Rohaizan was appointed Assistant General Manager of the Federation. With over a decade of experience in the sailing scene under his belt, he oversees the National Sailing Centre facilities and event management.
Rohaizan began his career in sailing in 2004 as Sea Sports Instructor at the SAF Yacht Club. He joined the Federation in 2006 as a sailing coach, managing programs for all levels from Beginner to Advanced. Later, he shifted his focus to the strategic planning and administration of the programs as Sailing Coordinator, and subsequently as Assistant Sailing Manager. In 2011, Rohaizan was appointed Head of High Participation. He spearheaded sailing programs for students in schools and was instrumental in increasing the accessibility of sailing as a sport to encourage participation.
In 2012, Rohaizan joined Changi Sailing Club. Among the various projects he led, Rohaizan played a pivotal role in developing the club’s dinghy sailing program.
Through the years, Rohaizan has taken on a variety of key roles at major sporting events. In 2009, he served as Assistant Venue Manager at the 1st Asian Youth Games. In the subsequent year, he was appointed Assistant Competition Manager at the Youth Olympic Games. More recently, at the 28th Southeast Asian Games in 2015, Rohaizan took on the role of Venue Manager. Later in the year, he ran the 8th ASEAN Para Games as Competition Manager. Through the diverse mix of projects he has managed, Rohaizan has made invaluable contributions to the sports scene.
