Volunteers are the backbone of any successful regatta, playing an integral role in creating a well-run and fair competition environment. Their contributions ensure smooth race operations, which are essential for the development of our sailors and the growth of Sailing. By stepping up as a volunteer, you directly support the sailing community and help nurture the next generation of athletes.
Join our Race Management Volunteer Course to learn the skills and knowledge needed to support sailing regattas as part of a race management team. Designed for parents, sailors, and retirees, this course provides hands-on training in essential roles, including mark laying, anchoring marks and boats, recording race finishes, timekeeping, and assisting the Race Officer with flag signals and identifying early starters. Whether you're new to sailing or looking to give back to the sport, this course equips you to play an integral role in ensuring the success of sailing races.
