⛵️ HERE ARE YOUR SCHOOL CHAMPIONS 🏆 After four days of racing in tricky conditions amidst storms and changing currents, we finally have our 2025 National School Games champions. Raffles Institution clinched three more individual secondary-level division titles in the last two days of the NSG. Elisha Lim sealed the A Division Girls (ILCA 6) title with a net score of 6 points. National School Games champions crowned on second day

The National School Games wrapped up its second day with light winds of between 3 to 7 knots. In the A Division, Raffles Institution’s Isaac Goh pipped St Joseph Institution’s Kenan Tan to the title by three points, winning two out of the three races on the second day. The B Division Girls (ILCA 4) and C Divisions Girls Optimist classes were won by Nia Mehry Zahedi and Li Yuxuan of Raffles Girls’ School respectively.

National School Games – Day 1 Recap

The National School Games began with a tricky first day of racing. With light winds and low tide at the start of the day, the sailors went out with about 5 knots of wind speed from the South East. A local storm system later swung the wind towards the east, picking up to about 10 to 11 knots. Two divisions, in particular, had very close margins at the top – the A Division Boys (ILCA 6) and the Optimist Senior Boys.

Here are your 2025 NSC Cup Champions

⛵️ HERE ARE YOUR NSC CUP CHAMPIONS 🏆 The 2025 National Sailing Centre Cup saw a strong field of sailors, including a few SEA Games medallists and even a two-time Olympian. Riding on the back of another monsoon surge, our sailors raced with wind speeds ranging from 8 to 12 knots, with wind gusts reaching up to 15 knots. There were no surprises in ILCA 7 as Ryan Lo dominated the field with four bullets out of six races.

Congratulations to all of our SYSC champions

⛵️ CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2025 SYSC CHAMPIONS 🏆 This year’s Singapore Youth Sailing Championships was blessed with strong winds, especially on the last day of racing, when the average wind speed was 15 to 17 knots. Singapore’s Sean Kum topped the Optimist Gold Fleet with 28 net points.  The ILCA 6 class also held 10 races and Kenan Tan dominated the fleet, winning 7 out of 10 races.

Singapore Youth Sailing Championships – Day 1 Recap

The 2025 Singapore Youth Sailing Championships saw 279 sailors from 8 countries racing on the first day of the competition.  The sailors had a nice stable breeze from the Southeast ranging from 8 to 11 knots, with currents in the later part of the day pushing boats over the line.

Traffic notice for SYSC on Sunday 16 March 2025

On Sunday, 16 March 2025, there will be no road access to the National Sailing Centre (NSC) until 9.30 am. This is due to a triathlon event. From 9.30 am to 12.00 pm, access to NSC will only be via East Coast Park Car Park H. Full road access to NSC will resume from noon onwards.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Are you registered in the national registry of coaches?

The next SG-Coach Level 1 Course (Full Integration) is on 8 June 2025. This certification is compulsory for all sailing coaches. From 1 July 2025, the Singapore Sailing Federation will require that coaches possess a valid SG-Coach certification and be full members of the National Registry of Coaches (NROC). This applies to coaches working in SSF-affiliated clubs, events, and training programs. This aligns with the coaching accreditation framework that SportSG has set up.
