At the end of this course, you will...
  • Be able to sail on your own
  • Know the various parts and functions of a sailboat
  • Learn and apply useful rope and knot techniques
  • Understand basic sailing rules while out in the water
  • Develop the confidence and control over the boat at sea

Course Duration:

Half-day sessions during weekends (2:00pm – 5:30pm)

Singapore Youth Sailing Championship: 13-16 March (Gold Fleet)
Singapore Youth Sailing Championship: 17-20 March (Silver Fleet)
17th SAFYC Regatta 2021 (Optimist): 17-18 April
Raffles Marina Optimist Championship: 24-25 April
Singapore National Sailing Championship: 5-8 June (Gold Fleet)
Singapore National Sailing Championship: 10-13 June (Silver Fleet)

  • Participants MUST have their own Type 3 Personal Floatation Device (PFD).
  • Able to swim for 50 metres with a Personal Flotation Device (PFD).
  • Participants MUST have their own boat for training.
  • Holder of Opti Racer Certification
  • Min 7 years old (as of course date).
