SingaporeSailing offers a diverse range of sailing programmes for little ones with our Learn to Sail courses (kids). Whether it’s an intense 4-day course or a 12-week weekend course, you will find something that suits your child’s needs and schedule! Below are some of the current (and future) sailing courses that we have!

Course Syllabus

  • Safety precautions
  • Parts of the boat & their usage
  • Points of sail
  • Simple sailing knots
  • Rigging and de-rigging
  • Basic boat handling
  • Heave-to
  • Getting out of irons
  • Launching and recovery
  • Capsizing
  • Avoidance of collision
  • General knowledge of weather, tides & current
At the end of this course, you will...
  • Be able to sail on your own
  • Know the various parts and functions of a sailboat
  • Learn and apply useful rope and knot techniques
  • Understand basic sailing rules while out in the water
  • Develop the confidence and control over the boat at sea

4 full-days sessions (9:30am – 5:30pm)
