Memories lasts forever….so they say. But we tend to agree especially when you are a debutant of a big tournament. One can only imagine, the invisible pressure and the challenge to manage other people’s expectations. Your family, your friends, your peers, your coach may not express it to you, but deep inside you know you have to deliver. And yes….they delivered. The recent SEA Games is a testimony of what our sailors are capable of. All except Ryan Lo are competing in the SEA Games for the very first time. Every islander is this tiny red dot were behind Team Singapore and we are proud of their achievement. Looking back, Chung Pei Ming, SSF’s High Performance said, “The team gave their best for Singapore at the Games. We turned every stone along the way and their efforts have come to fruition. Big thanks to everyone who helped along the way, including the parents, all National Training Squad Members and the team reserves back home.”
We hope their achievement have inspired young sailors to continue to persevere and show dedication and commitment to their training as we look forward to the year 2029, when Singapore shall host the SEA Games at our own shores.
