OUR AMBITION
The Singapore Sailing Federation will be an organization that champions the sustainability agenda. By 2023, we will be recognized across Singapore for our distinctive positive impact on key sustainability areas of sustainable water use, clean waterways, and social inclusiveness.
FOCUS AREAS
- Sustainable water use: Catalysing responsible and sustainable water usage practices across Singapore via our sailors, employees, community, and affiliate clubs; driving sustainable water usage across our operations
- Clean waterways: Becoming the agent of change in protecting the health of our waterways in Singapore and beyond, from plastics and waste pollution
- Social inclusiveness: Promoting social inclusiveness for Singapore’s most disadvantaged communities

OUR EFFORTS WILL BE FOCUSED AROUND DELIVERING THE FOLLOWING OUTCOMES:
SUSTAINABLE WATER USE
- 50% reduction in water use within NSC by 2021
- 500 sailors and employees commit to practices with 25% potential reduction in household water use by 2021
- Establish partnerships over the next 3 years to promote responsible water use and the importance of water as a critical resource
CLEAN WATERWAYS
- Complete elimination of single-use plastics across NSC and all affiliate clubs by 2020
- 500 sailors and employees trained as champions of clean waterways, and actively driving the clean waterways agenda at every sailing regatta and training event by 2021
SOCIAL INCLUSIVENESS
- 500 individuals from disadvantaged communities exposed to the sport of sailing annually
- 5 organizations focused on assisting disadvantaged communities adopted by SSF
